TULUCHE'

Each child received a picture of themselves
in a frame that they decorated....it was a great
end to a great week.
We will miss each smiling face....as they received their
back packs, we all got a hug and a "mucho gracias".
The mayor asked that "we not forget them".
We already have plans for next year.

Surprise....each child got a back pack with school supplies

Let's have some cake....

Serving Gleaners soup...
We had enough soup for 100 people and fed 250
It was a "loaves and fishes" miracle!

Party time.....

PACAYA VOLCANO

Raphael and Eric, our guides, made us an

incredible lunch on the volcano...they had

carried all the food up with them in thei

back pack. They made guacamole, fresh

vegetables and sandwiches...now if only we

did not have to walk back down the volcano.

Steve did not want another sun burn....
or he is in disguise for the CIA

Some of us...Philip and I included....decided
that we did not have to proof anything to anybody
and rented a horse to climb the last half...
which to some of us is called a Thigh Master!

The Pacaya Volcano is 8400 feet above sea level
the climb is mostly vertical.
the lava rock on the botton of the volcano has come
down in within the last month.
It is so warm that some people were
roasting marshmallows!
